Austin T. Yu, MD

About

Dr. Austin Yu was raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and attended the University of Michigan.  He majored in Computer Science and Math. He went on to Loyola Stritch School of Medicine where he got a Medical Degree. He became a pediatrician at the University of Chicago. 

Dr. Yu practiced medicine in Illinois for 1 year then went back to his home state of Michigan for 25 + years.  He arrived in Las Vegas in 2021.

Currently, he has his medical license in Michigan and Nevada.  He joined Desert Valley Pediatrics in May 2020.  He is board-certified and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Yu is married and has two adult children. He is a die-hard Michigan Wolverine fan. He likes to play tennis and volleyball, plays the violin, and loves to listen to music.  

Dr. Yu’s philosophy is to educate families about their child’s illnesses and preventative care.
